Douglas Bassett

BCompSc(UNE), LLB (Honours)(UNE), Grad Dip LPrac (CollLaw)

Doug moved to Armidale in January 2000.  On arriving in Armidale Doug and his wife Naomi realised the benefits of rural living, and made a commitment to making a life for themselves in Armidale.

Doug completed his studies at the University of New England, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. After completing his legal studies, Doug completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2004.

Since being admitted to practice Doug has worked as a Solicitor in Armidale before accepting a position to join Liston & Clifton in their Armidale office in November 2005.

When not at work Doug likes to pursue his other passion, playing golf.  Fortunately for Doug, his abilities as a legal practitioner far outweigh his abilities as a golfer.
